While it may not be as convenient as other IDEs with one-button solutions, with a few modifications and adjustments, you can maximize your productivity and efficiency in BlueJ. These tips should help you streamline your workflow and save time when using BlueJ. From there, select the option to void main to test your code. Everything seems to work up until launching the shortcut which does nothing. I have searched and searched but I cannot find how. For some reason I cant find out how to launch a shortcut from a batch file. Simply go to the Project menu and choose the class that contains the main method you want to run. The shortcuts works fine but I want to make a batch file to select which account to use, then launch the shortcut for that account. Use the Main Menu: Instead of right-clicking on the tester class and selecting void main, you can access this option from the Main menu in BlueJ. This will allow you to compile your entire project with just one click. From there, go to the Compile tab and select the option to Compile all classes together. Contrast that with the menu option Run->Step Into(or the F5 keyboard shortcut). To enable this feature, go to the Project menu and choose Configure Project. The biggest difference between BlueJ and traditional development environments is that BlueJ isnt concerned with running programs. Use the Compile All option: If you have multiple classes in your project, you can use the Compile All option to compile all of them at once. From there, you can assign a keyboard shortcut to the Compile and Run commands, making it easier to test your code with a simple keystroke. To do this, go to the Preferences menu and choose the Key bindings tab.
